Training

Hilderbrand & Cie SA provides training courses for brazing paste users. They can be held either in our offices where various torch and furnace heating equipment is readily available or at the customers facilities.

Brazing tests

The customers are invited to send us or to bring their parts to be brazed. This allows us to determine the ideal brazing paste as well as the ideal heating parameters. In general, the success of a brazing operation is not only dependent on the selection of the solder but is the result of a combination of various factors including the choice of the base materials and joint design. Therefore the discussion with the customer about all these factors is an essential step to the final result of a successfully brazed joint.

Belt furnace with protective atmosphere

Our belt furnace which is equipped to work with various protective gases such as cracked ammonia, a mix of hydrogen and nitrogen, pure hydrogen or argon can be rented by day. One customer may prepare his parts at home and come to pass them through the furnace another one may desire to use the furnace to make preliminary tests before taking the decision to buy his own furnace or to look for a subcontractor.

Particle size measurements

Our state-of-the-art laser diffraction particle size measurement equiment allows the analysis of powders ranging from 0.1micron to 700micron.
