Electrical Spot Welding

Resistance welding or spot welding, is an economical and proven welding process for many applications . Parts to be welded are usually pinched between electrodes with some pressure. A pulse of electrical current is released which causes the metal to melt between the welding electrodes. The result is a spot weld.
For small parts which is especially in our field of competence, careful consideration must be given to part geometry, proper part fixture composition, contact resistance and other important variables, to ensure consistent weld results. We are happy to take care of all of the welding details for you with our offer of fine spot micro resistance welders from Sunstone, an expert in this process. Even heat sensitive parts can be welded with a low chance of damage or distorsion thanks to available extremely low energy into the weld joint.
